Bio History:

•  Guitar an obsession

At age 14, Patrick borrowed a guitar from a neighbor and that was the start of an obsession. The guitar was very old, warped and hard to keep in tune. "I remember my fingers being so sore from playing that my hands used to ache", recalls Patrick. He started writing songs a year later and by age 17 he had formed his first band “Manticore” and was performing regularly around town.

Several years later Patrick assembled his core band The Keep which he fronted for seven years. The band toured regularly in the mid 80's and early 90's with Platinum Blonde, Strange Advance, Toronto, The Spoons and various other well known acts.

Patrick caught his first break when The Keep recorded their EP and singles "Don't Wish Your Life Away" and "The Sands of Time" and was nominated and won all local and regional song writing contests and was awarded best new artist. Being recognized for a new refreshing commercial sound, The Keep began getting airplay on local radio and TV stations which led to their first video for the song "The Sands of Time". A short time later “The Keep” were signed to ACE Records and Management.

Ten years later, with a great string of accomplishments under his belt, Patrick decided to disband The Keep to venture into studio recording and writing songs and jingles for publishers, independent films and various studio projects. Patrick is best known for his successful song writing jingle for Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto "First to Care First to Share".

Patrick also continued to write and expand his original material with the intention of exploring his solo career.

With the release of numerous produced recording projects and successful co-writes, independent studio projects, his critically acclaimed first solo EP  “Let Love Reign”, the opening of his new recording studio "DuneTune Recording" and a full new record in the works due out in late 2007, he has begun to re-establish himself as a national solo artist and producer.

Patrick Dune continues to produce, write and co-write constantly and supports SASS (School Alliance of Student Songwriters) as songwriting mentor and producer. For more information please contact Patrick Dune.
