Singer, songwriter, retro guitarist, recording artist and producer Patrick Dune has been part of the fabric of Canadian rock music scene for many years. His expressive vocal approach and trademark Rickenbacker textured open chord guitar styles, play off of the strong emotional landscapes of his song writing. Patrick's songs reach out and target his audience with many different rock vibes and emotional states and he approaches a new blend and style of commercial rock sound that boldly sets him apart.
From his small home town of Pickering Ontario, Patrick caught his first break when his his orginal band "The Keep" recorded their EP and singles "Don't Wish Your Life Away" and "The Sands of Time" and was nominated and won all local and regional song writing contests and was awarded best new artist. Being recognized for a new refreshing commercial sound, The Keep began getting airplay on local radio and TV stations which led to their first video for the song "The Sands of Time". A short time later The Keep were signed to ACE Records and Management.
The Keep toured regularly in the mid 80's and early 90's with Platinum Blonde, Strange Advance, Toronto, The Spoons and a number of Festivals with Brian Adams and various other well known acts.
In mid 90's, with a great string of accomplishments under his belt, Patrick decided to disband The Keep to venture into studio recording and writing songs and jingles for publishers, independent films and various studio projects. Patrick is best known for his successful song writing jingle for Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto "First to Care First to Share".
Patrick also continued to write and expand his original material with the intention of exploring his solo career. With the release of numerous produced recording projects and successful co-writes, independent studio projects, his critically acclaimed first solo EP Let Love Reign, that was was voted #1 on the indebendent radio charts, he has begun to re-establish himself as a national solo artist and producer.
Patrick Dune continues to produce, write and
co-write constantly and supports SASS (School Alliance of Student Songwriters)
as songwriting mentor and producer.
